What's the worst modification you've ever had on a mk3?

the worst thing I done was put 14" alloys on a sport that was then lowered 40mm on PI springs (supposedly 40mm!! closer to 50mm me thinks). It looked sh!t to say the least. In my defence the 14's had good tyres where the original 15's were showin thread and I got the springs for free ( I now no why!! they're crap!!)

i did the whole chav route with my old 8v the red one in the for sale section had that huge ripspeed double back box on it and full under car red neons


im now vary ashamed

Had lexus lights and limo tinted windows on the mk3 for quite a while.
Problem was me and my mate did the tints on my drive in the dark! Back was made up of three pieces cut badly, creases everywhere lol!

i took a stainless steel thermo flask ripped out the plasticy cup bit inside and used the stainless bit as a cold-air feed

how cheap is that. god i wish i had a pic.....

I can safely say that none of the mods on my mk3s have been bad........

... actually.... the fuel filter housing on my TD is knackered so ive replaced it with a bit of copper pipe! LOL. Rough as feck but at least it gets me to work. When I bought it there were really, really bad seat covers on. Brown, almost sheep skin style ones. Stopped halfway home, ripped them off and chucked them in the boot.

... drilling the airbox on my sport was a bad idea so im on the lookout for a standard one now.

LMFAO at Zanus' white beast esp the rear window graphics. The plate (GAE) says it all. Sorry mate.

thus far, its buying mk2 gte rear springs to try and lower it more than gsi springs, it did not work.

had the bolt on exaust tip wanted a cheap and quick alternative to buying a back box or full system i did have some washer jets with light but didnt use them on my bonnet i used them to light up my numberplate great use for a ****e product
