Youtube car videos

Just wondering if youtube can trace anyone doing high speeds, like get the old bill involved? Always wondered as if you type in 'top speeds' or something like that you are greeted with a ton of videos of people doing top speeds, some motorbikes showing 170+mph.

Any ideas on this.....not that i want to put 2 videos of top speeds on there of course

There was the thing in the news recently where they caught that guy doing 160 + in his dads MR2 on the m6 police did him for it and now IIRC the guy has been baned

Just put a disclaimer at the font of the video stating you were not on public roads?

you can get done by the old bill im afraid, a lad posted up a vid of him doing 160mph in his dads car on the motorway and the coppers found out who it was. I think he got sent down !

Depends if they can prove you were actually doing that speed, as you could claim you'd rigged the speedo to read it or digitally edited afterwards

they do look at sites to try and catch ppl why go out and do it when ppl are stupid enough to get caught online wouldnt even bother trying myself and not just coz i own a 1.4 spi but because its not worth the risk.

what do you gain from it tho somebody you dont know might watch big deal

Hmmmm.......both of these videos I have were filmed on this old runway which looks so much like a by-pass, strange that when i used this old disused runway there were some lorrys driving on it too

that lad lives near me, complete ******, always trying to push me to race him, i dont even bother anymore.

He got caught because he undertook an off duty copper on the hard shoulder at 100mph and was reported, the video was just evidence when it was posted on youtube to add to the court case, it was his best mate that posted it up aswell he got 4 month's but was let out in a few weeks, justice eh.

surely if you feel the need to do it just dont show your plate of your face on the vid then there is no evidence whatsoever linking it to you and just say you found it on the web and thought it needed posting up (thats if anybody asks, which they wouldnt with nothing to go on!) not that ive reaserched it or anything

all you have to do is make it untracable i.e no number plates, don;t start the video from your front door and only show speedo and road and nothing else of your car....
