Started her today fired first time icv was sticking so i freed it up refitted it and it runs spot on fitted the exhaust and run it for half an hour with the flushing oil in just need to change the filter and put some 10-40 in it then its time to play........Keeping the revs sensible for 500 miles is going to be tough
mk3 low blow 1.7 Rad and fan is close but fits will be changing it for a mk2 2.0 8v one
The exhaust fits too just which was a suprise as its a mk3 one and the gearchange and tunnel are different on 8v mk2's

Good times. Keeping to sensible engine speeds on these is so hard lol. They like to be pushed.
Might have to try and trick it into limp mode to be on the safe side lol
Nah, it might mess up the fueling too, and that wouldn't be fun.

Took it for a gentle stroll this afternoon and all is good no tappet noise no nothing. Never had an xe this quiet before no oil or water leaks so far! So things are looking promising
