It's a money issue. I need something cheap and a lot more powerful than my current C14SE. X20XEV is still a possibility, but I prefer the low down power, and look, of the 2.0 8v engines.

I would also be interested in a X20XEV engine, preferably with a mk3 astra wiring loom, driveshafts ect .

I've got a running XEV in a Vectra, whole car minus a few bits (trim/headlights), gearbox is toast but if you take the whole car you can have it for free

You may struggle to find an xev from a mk3, so a vectra maybe your best bet but would involve building a mini loom to mate the engine loom to the plugs in the o/s footwell and you'd need the key chip and transponder for the immobilizer.

Your best off looking for a cavalier for an 8v lump, as there's more 2.0 8v cavs around than 2.0 8v astra's and the loom fits straight in. I know of 2 for breaking up my end, think i might have 1 for the block after christmas..

I can deliver the complete engine bay on a pallet if thats any help? Postage on pallet is £50 Box, engine, legs etc.. can do all for £300 delivered?

Got any pics? Would this include everything to complete the conversion, including the brakes, to upgrade to a vented set-up? Is the engine a good runner, with no problems and good compression?
