sorry im sure i've seen this covered before but search didnt bring much up.

This is how i assume it goes:

remover heater controls/centre console (fiddly clip under middle sitch at number 3 iirc?) and the screws under the TID and vents? (and radio)

remove steering wheel, no wheel puller so disconnect battery for 24hours then remove airbag, un screw nut until its on 2 or 3 thread and pull, bash feck out of it until it comes lose then fully unscrew bolt? then clocks and surround

does the glove box need to come out?

Then theres 3 nuts in the engine bay? not sure on which ones though, under/around the pollen filter as a guess?

also 2 bolts down by the ashtray i think?

Have i missed anything? anyone got any advice?

kendo done a dash change on his astra so he'll know all the ins and outs of it, but yeah the glovebox needs to come out anyway as im sure theres screws/bolts behind it, its only 4 screws and a plug for the light and it slips out, 2 minute job.

The headlight switch has to be removed as well i think

basically remove seats (makes things easier)

remove centre consol,

take out glove box and all heater vents, (they just pop out with a screwdriver)

remove all the switches and the plugs that are behind them,

there are two 13 or 14mm bolts in either foot welljust under the heater controls at either side, remove these,

remove the torx screws where the door panel meets the dash board,

disconnect speedo cable from gearbox (makes it easier to remove the instrument cluster) then remove it,

also remove the scuttle panel, put the bonnet up and there are three bolts that run along under the windscreen, one in thr middle and one at either side, you may need to undo your wiper motor to get to thedrivers side one,

remove youre cowling and steering wheel, you also have to remove the ignition barrel as there is a black box type thing that you dont want to damage with the support beam from the dash

hope this helps!
