Right. Here we go

This my Thread for my 1997 Astra Merit Estate which im going to be turning into a GSi "lookalike" this a little side project to my corsa so progress may be slow but should be good.

i want the car to have;
5 stud turbo wheels
full GSi kit
288mm front brakes
GSi rear brakes
Black leather interior (mk2 recaro GTE front seats cavalier rear seats)
not sure what colour yet maybe Arden Blue or Flame Red
60mm Lowering Sprimgs
and maybe eventually X30XE V6 Engine

this is the car when i first bought it

its not a bad thing its had a small patch welded on the O/S Sill near the wheel arch made a good job of it too, but other than that the car is solid and rot free

Not bad for 300 quid

That's cheap and can't you find a different kit not that there's out wrong with the gsi? The plan's sound good v6 wise! I remember my very first astra it was like your's but burgondy colour

i could i kno GSi reps are getting common but i will try and make mine differ from the rest i already have some ideas all will be revealed

I've officially made a start on the astra today the rusty boot lid got the better of me and i had to do something about it

I also did away with the wiper as it barely cleared the rear window
