Engine mount broken

Dry roads by me today, so thought ill take the mk3 into work, last drive of the year, quick blast etc

end result



Resulted in broken aux belt, split oil filter from hitting subframe, power steering pump pulley scuffed and obviously my two piece mount.
Gonna fit new parts tomoz at work and hopfully ive not missed any damage

Fixed him and swapped wheels back

Bloody hell that's not what you want. Don't think I've seen that mount break often before!

I had it powder coated so not sure if thats anything to do with it. Once i got it off its cracked through on the block side of the mount too but not broken. The belt side must of been the weakest

Powder coat shouldn't affect it really. Glad you soon got it repaired though.

Yea i think powdercoat is only done at 100 degrees or something and its probably not far off that in normal driving. Weird though, never seen that!
