Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows what would be causing the interior light not to come on when either the drivers side door is opened or the one behind it but it always comes on for the passanger side doors? Any help appreciated, thanks

Check the switches for both drivers doors, they occasionally get dirty/stuck so just check

odd. wouldnt expect 2 doors to have dodgy switches. I would unscrew the switsches and check there is 12v there. There should be 12v permanent becasue the switch works through earth. Im wondering if the power line to the switches are connected, meaning, if there is a break in the wire to the front door, the rear door gets no power either ?

i would say the because its two doors then its more likely the place where all the door wires meet the earth, they are all under the front passenger side carpet, your looking for five or six grey wires all connected to one grey wire

erm, the door switches meet the earth direct at the switch to the frame through a screw, there is no earth wire, only 1 wire which should have 12v perm in it.

no i mean where the wire's from all the switches meet. I had a very similar problem to the op and it turned out all the wires were being held together with a lump of corrosion, it comes from not having a well fitting scuttle panel

Sry to bump but I have the same except the light only sometimes works (usually weekend). It used to work when one of the doors was open, I pulled the headlight knob out or when I unlocked the car using the Alarm Keyfob.

Do you guys know where all the 3 wires may converge?

if its an intermittant problem then id say its the door switches, take one out and see if its live if its not then it will be under the passenger carpet as above
