Johnsastra16v - Red Ph1 GSi

If its burning oil mate new ignition parts won't fix it, normally head off job for stem seals i think, and piston rings aren't a 2 minute job either :(

Well not really getting anywhere

ordered myself some new ht leads, and just picked up a new dizzy. i'll try swapping these and see if theres any difference

definate optimisum lol, reckon its gona be a rebuild

took the GSi for its mot, and not suprisingly it failed

but only on a few things

1. abs light on dash

2. new rear tyre needed

3. split pin missing from suspension ball joint

so, minor.

but on my 15mile drive back on the motorway taking it easy and having good oil pressure, when i stopped in traffic the oil light would could on when the revs dropped below 1.5k, and the oil pressure gauge read at zero.

new oil pump??

or compression test to reveal a fubbard engine?

Oil pump or pressure relief valve. Maybe soemthing went dry when the engine was out? What were youre emission test readings? You need it fixing quickly though, we need to get your car mine and mikes together for a few pics!!

My money is on a sticky pressure relief valve, my brothers c20xe light came on and it was down to that in the end
