Been wondering ever since I got the engine, seemed to pick up so well etc...

..well took it for a bit of a run on the way home tonight - watched the rev counter go past 7 and eventually hit the limiter at approx 7250 Was waiting for the rods to let go

Hit just over 100 in third on the limiter

Sorry Neal, you ain't getting past me!

The only way to be sure is to open the ECU. The limiter used to kick in around 7K in the Mk2 at about 95MPH.

Probably. Just raises the rev limit to keep the young rev happy guys entertained.

The RR guy didn't think it had been chipped when it was on the rollers many moon ago.

Neals doesnt pick up too bad actually even with the f25 on. You 2 wanna get on the strip me thinks to decide

not being funny or anything al but my redtop does 7k+ before limiting but it doesnt whoop a v6 as i found out against my mates v6 cav
my astra isnt slow by any means but i couldnt out accelerate my mates cav think your head may be in the clouds a bit mate
only way to find out is to get it on the track against neal1

i do miss having a rev limiter tho!

Al Mine goews to the 8k on the rev counter and then the limiter kicks in
A superchip will only raise the redline by 500 rpm,had my astra gte 8v chipped and would out do my Pineapple from standing start.

my old white gsi was chipped and was 110mph in 3rd but was a cavalier gsi ecu that had been chipped, made 7bhp extra on the rollers
