Well, as a couple of you know ive bought a new car
ive bought Nikola's 1.8 gsi, drove down to gosport on saturday to take a look and did a deal with Marc, cheers mate!
went to leave gosport, got to the petrol station, filled up with fuel, went to start it and nothing, battery was completly flat!!! so called Marc up and he very kindly came to give me another jump start!
after that drove all the way back to Bracknell with no real fault.
as you can see from the pics below the car had 3 17" wheels and 1 15", so at 60mph+ the vibrations where terrible, so as soon as i got home i swapped the wheels over from my 1.6.
only other problem i had was that the car had 2 sets of locking wheel nuts on and i only had one key, the two rear wheels had 3 locking nuts on each one! so after breaking a few tools trying to get them off i went to see my mate at humphries who had a left threaded socket that got them off no problem!
.. so these are the only pics i have atm, going to take some more of how it is now
cars in good nick with only a few things i wanna get sorted, the rear arches is one of them. the other is that the throttle pedal moves from left to right, i remember someone saying somehting about this a while ago and said it was the little bush that needed replacing.. can anyone confirm this?
the MFD doesnt work and displays the F for fault, but have another so will swap that and see if it works.. also need to change the dash bulbs as some have blow!
so things i plan to do.
-swap over wheels - done
-swap over mirrors
-change MFD
-fit sub and amp
-clean!!!
-sump gakset
-rear arches
-change pass side rear light as its cracked
-work out why the interior light doesnt work
-polish to try and get the drivers door to match a bit better
and most importantly ENJOY!!
more updates soon!!
