MK3astra1.4's 1.4 clio???

I know its a bit strange but ill explain!

When I turned 17 I started looking for a mk3 astra 1.4 (hence the username).
I was having trouble finding one that suited my needs when my dad offered me a MINT R reg renault clio 1.4 for FREE! So to save hassle etc i accepted!

as i got it:

Over time i bought and fitted clear side repeaters, a sony cdx m 880 Head Unit, Riesen front and rear co-axials and a pipercross induction kit.

Also fitted sub and amp

Managed to get hold of a set of Phase 1 Clio 16v wheels for £50 with v.good tyres.

once i had got them on i realised i was in serious need of slammage!

So...

-55mm springs on the front and the rear (torsion bar) adjusted to suit!

I also now have a 16v Backbox (3" tailpipe)

Slowly return to standard

Sell it

Buy a MK3 Astra - (id like a 1.6 sport 5dr)

The clio looks pretty good on those rims, are they the ones similar to the gold williams ones? One thing I like with the older Clios are the wider boxy arches.

For what it is its a nice car and i'd be happy if it was my first car, although those alloys look more like wheel trims than alloys.

do you get any scrubbage etc with it being that low

i have seen a few sets of my wheels sprayed gold! theres a R5 that goes up southend sometimes - subaru blue with my wheels in gold! Looks sweet!

They do look like wheeltrims in the (crappy quality) pics but look much better in person!

they do scrape a bit!

over the weekend i finally got round to refurbing my rsi alloys!

I did them Vauxhall Mettalic Steel Grey so this thread is now mildly vauxhall related!

the phase 1s are definately not going back on as they rub slightly and the car drives nicer wthout them!
