Is it an Arctic bud? My bro bought one off his mate registered as a 16v, but it had an 8v engine? So maybe a mistake on a few cars?

yeah m8 its an arctic. weird though  it wasnt this car he had was it??:laugh1: cheers m8!

its a 8v mate as 16v's come with electric windows in the front

same engine I had in my old blue astra. bulletproof and easy to work on but the 16valver has a lot more poke...
engine no.s match with log book?

I've seen a few 16v arctics on ebay with manual windows

i thought the elec windows come as standard fit on all Arctic II 16v and as a add on in the 8v just like the airbag in the dash like AstrArctic's had in his.

Hello a good base for a project fella! I have an 8v that I am soon to be selling, for cheap easy power get a cat back stainless exhaust with a good back box, de-restrict the air box and put a courtny sport or K&N Panel filter. If you can get a de-cat but can be a pain to keep changing MOT time, this gave my 8v from 75bhp standard to 84.1bhp with the cat back.
A change of wheels and lower to 40mm, gsi rear lights mk4 side repeaters and a gsi spoiler and that would look good as a standard slightly modded car.
By the way I am your local RC so if you wish any help or advice I am not far off your door step! :)
