Little update, got my new speakers in today but did them a little differently than normal!
*new speakers
*got old speakers out
*destroyed the inners to be left with the ring and a 3mm step-in (to screw through, later pic)
*sat new speaker inside
*folded over the tags to keep in position and screwd through teh step in with small screws
*all screwd in and wired up - 1 hour inc. dinner!
work and sound amazing and saved myself 100's of pounds from not buying speaker pods from halfrauds!

Good work , I did exactly the same with the black plastic rings, its works out perfectly.

well its been a while but astra has had alot of work done to her in the last two weeks!!
as a few of you know ive got back ito the automotive body repair trade and im working at a small garage in trench lock telford called advanced body centre.
well my boss has gone on holiday for two weeks and has left the fort to me
so work has begun!
had a few piccys donr for y'all hop you enjoy!

ok well the car went into the shop kinda like this! (with out the wife in bikini! unfortunatly!!)
into this booth at my work
started by fitting new exhaust (its low as its positioned for my gsi bumper!)
then smoothed boot again as it wasnt good enough!!
the got the bonnet paint strippered and sanded for a temporary rat look
and it does really suit it as its covered in primer!!!
rthen added some chequered patches on the bonnett and feul cap for sh1ts and giggles
the got a shed load of primering and dent removaling done!!

wanted to lave it rat with no bumper!

the smothed the number plate recces on the front bumper!
then (before deciding to smoothe the sunroofr) the roof got painted!
and de masked
the as soon as the paint was dry i decided i wanted the sunroof out!
so that needed doing!
also tinted my ront indicators!
and that all i have up to now!

that rat look bonnet suits it mate. i reckon the black roof is pretty cool too, you should keep the car looking different by having a few unique mismatched parts imo its a nice change to see - keep the rat look bonnet and the fuel cap, then spray the rest silver (obv leave the black roof that youve done, it looks good). then for the sake of it have the left front wing white lol. anyway just suggestions that caught my imagination. smoked indys look wicked too btw
