RAT look MK3

I like it.....U should polish up the engine bay and put a fake turbo on it.but leave the rest as it is :deadhorse:

seriously now, are you all for real?? if some idiot was to drive this around it would be for pure attention, but not in a good way, im telling you now, if you were to leave that in my village for 1 hour it would get trashed, i dont see the point in people doing stuff like this,

you all laugh and slag off cars on barryboys but this car should be number 1 on there top 10 pieces of ****. iv seen better cars in the scrap yard and im not lying there.

if you want respect do a euro estate not an eSTATE

 When you drive it around people do stand and stare, point and laugh - which is brilliant! It gets the desired reaction and thats to have fun with cars ;) I have put over 60k into an astra mk4 project for the last 5 years (stupid I know) and its so serious and anal its ridiculous, this car is more about enjoying the scene rather than getting caught up in it, which is what I did with the Mk4 and regret a little bit :)

You dont have to like it - you can hate it - we really dont care, come and say hi at PVS and laugh at it :)

Just a 1.6 - we like the idea of putting a C20LET or a V6 over winter though - who knows its a cheap fun car so dont want to get to involved cost wise :)

apart from the rack i like it, its something else to look at , makes me not want to sort the rust and polish mine now

That is great :thumb: , the ratt look is such a big thing in the biker community(they even have a award for best rat of the show) why not the car scene I mean they are only so many polished/detailed VXR`s , GSi`s you can look at before you get bored not only that but each ratt look car will be completly different from the next . Keep going bud

It different, cant decide if I like it or not. The beer barel on the roof is cool

help us out guys how can we get it lower? current set up is:

Bilstein B8 shocks all round
Nova saloon rear springs (they are red and we think are lowering springs - came off a scrap yard car witrh other modified bits on?)
Fronts are Jamex -60mm springs.

We want the front another 30mm if at all possible????

Again money is a major issue here, so no coilovers Im affraid.

What a refreshing change!!
I have to say that i love it! bout time someone did this over here.

Do you have a welder? or know someone who is competent with one? if so anything can be acheived! Ie spring platforms moved. i used to have a rat mk2 van (i'll see if i can find a pic!)

personally i think you should STFU as you have a got awful mk2 astra with a delta kit FFS

this has been done by a group of people for a laugh for gods sake! it makes a change to see someone stand back look at everything and think **** it im doing what I want.

The budget was £1k in total and if you split that between the 3/4 people doing it, it wasnt that much TBH.

i think its awsome and nice to see someone give the middle finger to the "fashion" & "trend" setters!

Well done Matt & AOC

anyone has a problem with what ive wrote PM me or take a jump

i agree with kev, most of you are missing the point lol,
type ratrod into google or hoodride and it may give you a better understanding, ratrods have been around since the 1930's so this style was around before any shiny bling cars of today
some more 'rat' cars

thought I would give my 2ps worth, Im the other guy who is building asrat, and its getting the recation I expected i.e no one gets it. Me and mat have both being modifiying cars for years, his is a lot further than mine have gone but both have been feature cars well mine was sold before its feature, and have spent years around shows and as mat says its so anal and competative, the whole fun side of it is lost. This is done purley as a laugh, no rules as such no stress. And its far from ugky, shes a diamond.

Engine is a c16se from a c14se
