Saloon number 2

Looking good, yea I need to do a nut and bolt on mine aswell, started using mine for work to rack some miles up on it!

Hows the torque steer in yours? I think I may have just forgoteen how bad it is in these but mine is savage and it has alot less than it used to
Torque steer I haven't really noticed tbh mines still on a 'Open' diff in the f28, wonder if your feeling it more with the LSD and the semi slick tyres

Wile I was on I moved my tweeters back upto the mirror covers so cut out the old GM tweets and used the cage to house my JBLs. Made them a tight fit and sealed them in.

Moving on what I thought was champion ready for the wedding. The car gives me problems. I had 3 days off prior our wedding I took the car out for a test run went to get fuel in etc on my way down she was spluttering and hesitant didn't want to rev or move hardly. I thought It was fuel related. So got to Shell £30 of Vpower might cure it. NOPE I had a rev limit of 2.5k stopped of at my friend's garage for a look at it. Found a vac pipe off. Could that of been my fault NOPE. Drove home with a 3k limiter. Called into my old parts supply ordered 2 crank sensors one for spares. IMG20240418130931.jpg
Old one out

Changed it no different by this point I was flapping tried a TPS. Then I thought F*#k it changed my Di cassette. Finally issue resolved revved up past 5k took it out for a road test and planted it. Maximum boost, Maximum RPM job done.

Wedding day 20-04-24
Woke myself up early as I had the car to ribbon up plus I'd left it out on the drive over night to save time. Didn't really save anytime as what can only be described as a Giant Condor decided my car was a good toilet :( IMG20240420063916.jpg
So washed the full side off and had to quick detail the car again. Got sorted got the ribbons on and stood it out the front in the sun

Trip to VBOA car drove faultless minus a wheel balancing issue. But I can't fit weights due to the brakes. Wheels need to be changed :(
Arrived to Sywell after 4hrs turned to 6hrs due to traffic and couple service stops.

Drove home Sunday. Got a list of things I want to change on the car. The wife's main priority is getting the AC working

Me and Dave had a interview with "Our Tim" Screenshot_2024-07-28-21-22-57-95_f9ee0578fe1cc94de7482bd41accb329.jpg

Well it's been a year since I updated this. And it's been sat in the garage a year. So pulled my finger out and got round to doing a few changes.

My Exhaust Downpipe was the main priority as it was touching the radiator well tbh it had buckled the rad fins and rub through so had to replace it.

So redesigned the front section of the downpipe I cut the original just Infront of the sump added a V band so now my full exhaust is adjustable. And now 1" clear of the radiator :)

Ploughed on new radiator along with all other bits required to make it fit cut the outlets off and made my own rather tight 90s. Drilled it for a return and a second fan switch.

Next bug bear was the fan securing plastic things they are utter S#it so mocked up brackets in card and then transferred to alloy. Il have them welded on, no more poking holes in the radiator.

I'm at the point now it's ready to go to my friend to be welded then get back for re assembling.

Then il set about making new brackets for the rear bumper
