need to replace the drivers side track rod end would a fork ball joint splitter do the job ok

I use a scissor type one but i have been beaten before so had to resort to the fork type, easier if youre replacing them anyway because they burst the rubber boots

Fork type if your replacing, the other thing you can do is hit what it goes through, which also helps break them loose and doesnt damage the rubbers.
But as Dave says, its the rest of the track rod and ajuster being siezed solid you want to worry about. It might be easier to replace the whole thing, new track rod arm, adjuster nut and track rod end, should be about £25

looks like lot and lots of w d 40 then. think it might be ok i only had the tracking done about three months ago. now will have to get done again pain in the a#se more money

if you had it done 3 months ago, might not be that bad, depends on if any of it was greased when it was appart. I greased mine to stop it from rusting solid. WD40 might help though.

thanks guys goin to do it on wednesday so let you know how i get on just sorted the lump hammer out lol

dont forget some heat on it. that graphite penetrating spray is some good stuff...helped me out quite a few times :)
