Need a little info on a few wire's in the loom.

Firstly the sai solenoid wiring, im thinking i can remove this and the solenoid as its not going to be used and the plug only has 2 wires in, ones an earth and the other goes into the x7 plug and NOT the ecu plug so shouldn't put the eml on if its not there, would i be right??.

Secondly ive removed the auto crap from this loom and found one of the 2 wires that went to the ecu is there in my original non auto loom so just need to know what it does if pos. Its in pin no43 and is a black wire with a red tracer..

Cheers peeps..

When removing the sai usually you leave the sai relay in and ditch everything else (the pump etc). If you don't have the relay in it throws up a em light, if you leave it in it doesn't. The ecu still clicks the relay on and off but it doesn't actually power anything more. The ecu needs to see a resistance hence why the relay needs to stay in. You might be able to fool it with a resistor?

Just looked at the wiring and it looks like the ecu earth switches the sai relay. So it might just need to see 12v at the brown/grey pin 37 not to put the em light up, or just leave the relay in

Found a black/red wire from the engine ecu to tcm, but can't see if it does anything else.
