Ok, wanting to have my cam pulleys on show and wondering how people go about cutting the holes for them.... I could just scribe it around something the right dia and then keep going round and round with a knife / stanley blade until its cut through but is there another way?

Above is how she looks without cover on

Also have another option, cut 2 holes
OR
Just cut the top of the cover off and expose the top half of each cam pulley (showing the upper 1/2 of the cams and belt over the top). I may get adjustables soon but as it stands will just be for looks.

Any advise or opinions?

Cheers

lol, so people use large holesaws? makes sense

So far we have cut 2 holes out and fit Perspex

any other opinions?

Why fit perspex if you're fitting adjustable pulleys? Surely that would defeat the point of having the holes there so you can adjust them?
Jigsaw/hacksaw then half round file to tidy them up would be my method. A 100mm hole saw would be fairly expensive and you'd still have to tidy up the edges after.

You'll struggle to get perspex to look any good with the ecotec cover as its all ribbed on the inside. Just a couple of decent size hole should do the job!

Probably, but if you were that worried about protecting the cambelt you wouldn't be cutting holes in it in the first place!. I ran mine with the top half of the cam cover completely removed for 18 months. Never affected it even slightly.
