Quite possibly dude! Thats like a minute from me...

Take it you were in the Chase Signs van?

yeah i was

hopefully the strutbrace should have been delivered today Al. The courier company's website is being a pain in the ring and isn't coming up with any details.

Quick question - What stickers are on the back? *edit. saw them on pg1*

I have a brand new "merit" badge if you want it?

Had a package turn up from Melv (Mk3Oc/Mig)... this was after i'd taken off about 72 layers of bubble wrap

Fitted it last night - was a bit of a mare tbh! Had to elongate the holes quite a bit then was a ******* to get all 4 bolts on! Confirms that my Astra is bent...LOL

My new HT leads also turned up today - just a set of 8mm's from Matt Lewis Racing on eBay - seem pretty reasonable and add a bit more colour to the bay :p

Then gave the old girl a quick wash, hadn't really been done since PV and was covered in ****.
Used Dodo Juice 'Born to be Mild' shampoo - really good stuff! Smells ****ing lush too :) Car needs a quick mop over with some Lime Prime before a session with the wax to keep it looking reasonable for the summer!

Can also see the new wheels on there... going to 'obtain' some centre caps off a Corsa SXi over the next few days :)

Ben / Figz - you mean my GSi lights? Got them in the garage. Crack on one of the lenses but otherwise doing nothing ;)

Wheels are looking good mate.

Is the 'flat' one holding air OK?

How you finding it around corners etc? They used to grip really well on the Mk2.

'Flat' one is mine mate! Seem to grip quite well!

Been doing some work on the interior during my spare time this weekend :) First job was to whack a bit of plastic over the hole left by the heater. I had an old sign in the garage, cut it to shape and use a fairly significant amount of silicone to ensure it was all sealed.
Its cut down on drafts...which is nice!

I then moved on to do some tidying up of the interior as the fuse box had moved/clocks come loose etc... the wire taped to the top edge of the bulkhead is for my Tom Tom:

That was all Saturday afternoon. Went out for a play during the evening and had a few good encounters. Several Golf VR6's, 306 GTi-6's and a CRX all felt the Ashtray's wrath LOL. Some nice close races though so am deffo going to start researching new cams and get funds together for Go-Tech!

This evening I have spent an hour messing about with my old dash. I have decided to chop it down, flock it (home job courtesy of Frost) and chuck it back in - purely to hold switchgear, screen demister etc.

Take one perfectly good mint condition black dash...

Spend 10 minutes with a marker pen, a saw and an angle grinder...

June-22-6.jpg

Then start filling in the gaps! Used a bit more of the old sign to make a flat section then a piece of the old dash for the curved bit on the side. Am going to fibreglass it all over to give it some strength then it can be smoothed off ready for flocking.
The top section where there is a gap will house my water temp and oil pressure gauges. plus the switch for my screen demister.

More at some point :)
