Nice, attention to detail is insane. I live not far from you.

D'oh, I'm stupid. Glad you enjoyed it.

You must only live down the road from me too literally. Nice detail to the car. Not seen it around though.

Hi dude, I'm 1 mile from you just off Mill Road. I know your cars but don't go down Nottingham Road very much, some times pop out at Walkers Street but not very often. You'll hear the car before you see it as the tubular manifolds and 2.5" system means its a bit loud, tried to quieten it down but didn't exactly work and don't want to go further as it'll compromise the power.

Fantastic thread, i love reading threads like this, lots of pics and lots of info

I too love following your threads as I pop on the Audi diary over on MIG from time to time, respect. If you like this diary pop over to Astra-mk2 and check out my GTE diary here (might have to join) as you'll also enjoy, it's the reason the mk3 took me so long.

I think I just spent about an hour reading through this, love it! :) A lot of cool touches. You need to come to the next East Midlands meet so we can all have a look :)

Why thank you sir. Unfortunately I've got a track day at Blyton Park on the 11th Oct otherwise Amanda and I would have popped along to the meet.

Done a track day there before?

Yep, nice circuit and very grippy but doesn't munch your tyres. Great starter circuit if you've never done a track day. Did Donington Park in April and really enjoyed that and Cadwell Park in August but just wasn't clicking with it as I was tired and grouchy after a hard week on the mk3 and at work.

I've done Blyton twice now I think, and Donington a few times. Yet to do Cadwell, but it's on the list.

Epic thread attention to detail is excellent. Loverly motor

Just finished reading your mk2 diary from the link above, taken me a few days but by god what a car! And to have John Cleland fire it around a track as well, fair play mate :)

It was great sitting next to Cleland while he drove my car, I was in awe of the man. He's a proper character when you get chatting with him. Updated my mk2 thread with some Blyton Park pics from Sunday, here's a tempter if others haven't read the diary and glad you enjoyed the epic read as it's getting rather detailed now.

Mk3 has now covered 360 miles with no major issues and Amanda is loving it. Few more miles and I'll get the oil changed and have it on the rollers for a power figure and decide if a remap of the Motronic 2.8.3 is required or not. I've got a figure I'm hoping for so if it hits that I'll be very chuffed but my lips are sealed until I have the hard facts on a sheet of paper. I called Courtenay Sport the other week regarding a remap but they answer was "That's old and we no longer offer remaps", haha. Their loss as I was more than happy to take the car there for a tweak.
