Few bits i need help with...

what's the remote controlled car look? Which leds do you mean?

I'm just the mk3 guy from the ends of the planet so I'm not in the mk3oc environment that you guys are ... no-one repeat no-one, bothers with mk3s here ... they are like, driven by old farts

lol its exactly the same here mate :heh:

Bloody hell ;) .... i best do it when i've got plenty of time ;) ... thanksss !

Yeah, you can get both done in about an hour if you're quick. I don't know what Vauxhall were thinking about with them silly pop out grills. It can be a pain with them clips, you'll probably end up forcing them and breaking one or two lol.

It's probably easier if you pop off the lock button by unclipping it by levering the red square with a stanley blade (or something equally as fine), try not to damage it :P

If you can't be bothered to rewire the speakers, get some adaptors for a few quid off ebay, makes connecting them easier.

Right then, i've finally got round to trying to remove the doorcards again and did real well!

I got all the clips off in good order, and went to remove doorcard, only to find the window winderheld it on! :(

How do i removed this without any major problems :P!

Have a look between the handle and the doorcard, you will struggle to see it but there's a little u shaped clip holding it on. Use small screwdriver (or something along those lines) to feel where the clip ends and pop it off. It can be a right sod at times, sometimes not. :D

Hmmm, i get what your saying but i cant see any clip? It looks all solid plasticv from what i can see? :sorry:

Any other ideas, or a diagram/picture of what micky said?

I could really do ith getting these off now

on your winder mech, there is the handle itself and a plastic washer, the clip should be between the 2 iirc and it's really close to the handle itself so its really difficult to see, but don't be scared to give the handle a good tug to see behind it.

some people have suggested using an old rag pulled up behind the handle to pop the clip off instead of using small screwdriver

oops.. double post, sorry, can admin remove this please?

Here is the *special* tool (inexspensive to buy, afaik) needed and the other shot shows the tool in place and the clip coming out.

There are no doubt other ways to remove the clip and I've read that you can use a bit of material like a hanky and pull it upwards to dislodge the clip ..

The trick is to approach from the correct direction as per the 2nd photo.

The next two pictures show the clip in place, then being dislodged by the tool.

The swear cop wouldn't let me post the third picture like the others due to there being 3 letters that were disallowed, causing the link to fail. So you'll need to click the "Click for full size" link at the end of the url

Finally after alot of messing around one doorcard is off - reckon i could do the other in about 15 mins now i know what im looking for!

Now to change the speakers in the front and the side off the parcel shelf!
How do i change the wires over because they dont come out of the stock speakers very easy?
Snip them?

Simplest and cheapest way please :)

If you do eventually get the door cards of for the front speakers, you will need to buy or make speaker adapters for your new speakers as the original ones are moulded to the old speakers and cannot be seperated. I got a mate to make some MDF ones for mine. ps theres a phillips screw to undo behind the elec window switch on nsf and behind blanking cover on osf ta ta

The stock speakers have a little clip so you should be able to remove them no hassle, and they have an adaptor like so:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SAK-2902-Vaux...3|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50

The plastic rings allow you to fit non stock speakers into the front doors. pop the little adaptor onto your new speakers for a tad of ease if you can be bothered to rewire them. you can probably get them a tad cheaper so shop about.

They're the exact ones I bought
