ipod music

iv just got a second hand ipod off ebay and some of the music on there id like to keep

is there a way to get the music off the ipod before i sync it to itunes and lose everything?

1)set your itunes not to auto sync
2)connect the ipod up
3)open the ipod in my computer and go to folder options
4)tick the show hidden folders box
5)the will be a new folder pop up that has all the songs already on the ipod in it
6)copy the ones you want to your computer.

only problem is that they arnt named in that folder

however all the song have silly names iircas just said, like 3297084 and stuff so u have to go through and rename every song!!!!

There's programs like CopyPod that'll do it, free if you know where to look
