Mellow Yellow

I'm back Picked up my astra van yesterday.

Shes yellow 1.7 diesel ( non turbo ), lloks like a cavalier engine but i'll let you lot deicde once i got pictures onto the PC.

Plans atm are:
Clean it
Spray bumpers gloss black
Remove roof rails
New black dash (current ones got a few chuncks out it )
New windscreen
New wing mirror
New tyres
Fit DVD headunit
Fit speakers

After all thats done the fun can begin:
Tidy bodywork up (few specs of rust but nothing major)
Lowered 60mm
Banded steel wheels with streched tyres
The trade mark spot lamps
Electric windows
Electric wing mirrors
2.0 16v brakes
Fit my rear disc brakes
Fit amp and sub
Recovery Lights with strobes in grill
Tow bar.

Thats the plans. Haven't yet had time to play on photoshop, will update my rovers thread in a min :'(

Nice to be back in a mk3 tho, it has the mk3 smell about it (smells just like my saloon did) and sure i'll be seeing some of you at the local meets.

No pics atm due to being at the other halfs house and not having the cable for my phone, but pics will be up late tomorrow night after the van has been buffed back to a gloss due to it being faded. Interior needs a good clean but other then that i'm really happy, £500 with 12mot.

Just need to save up for my insurance so i can get her on the road. At the moment shes being used as a parts holder as i have broken my rover, so its holding all the parts i removed.

Just can't wait to get behind of a mk3 of my own, as i keep borrowing my dads lol

Not them roof bars lol, it came with a roof rack ( that was **** ) so it has been removed and it looks better for it

Its a mechanics attempt to use a orbital polisher with G3, really annoyed tho. Will end up using my meg #80 on it to remove the swirl marks fully.

Jaspa it won't be on the road t ill july due to me having what is known as cash flow problems LOL but till then i can clean it up and get it to the gleaming van it should be.

Just spent this morning trying to get rid of the swirl marks off the van, SRP has covered most the panels its just the bonnet and roof that need compunding. Other then that all thats happened is i'v put more parts in it lol just need to sell the damn rover parts so i can start cleaning the loading bay

Alos ordered my fabric for my sun visors its nice so that should be here wednesday at the lastest so pics will be up once the sun visors are done

Waxed the wagon today, and put the new wing mirror on so it looks a little smarter now. Next on the list is get the damn thing insured and tax'd i thinks then i can start coming to the MK3 local meets

Also mascot is now on board, shes a rescue bee as shes only got one wing lol

Still awaiting my fabric to arrive tho should be here tomorrow at the latest, if not arse kicking will occur

that looks like leads council yellow i just painted a trani that colour

What colour is it mate? as my van came from factory red and it has no hint of a paint code on it. Not vauxhall cargo yellow is it? I'll get a side view of my van today and you'll see the two colours on it, the lighter yellow looks alot like ford daytona yellow, but the lower colour looks like vauxhall cargo yellow, but these are just guess's as i didn't have the van to put the colour swotches against
