That sounds good.

wonder would the cat damp the sound much more ? I like the pops coming off the throttle .

In Northern Ireland we’re not as lucky with the mot as we have government test centres and not garages which is a ball ache.

Depends how loud u want it, @andyhe has kept the cat so that will help alot. I would go for back box and a small centre silencer

I drained mine and bunged mine with some brass plugs, I wonder if that's why loads of oil has found its way over the back of the my firewall

Yeah breather makes a lot of sense to be honest! Not as much sense as my Quaife manual rack mind :D
Yeah well get you ;) I would have one too if they still made them

Havent updated in a while, been gather in a few bits up.

Put the brakes on the last time and got them bled up and both calipers were sticking, so off thy came.

Tried for ages get someone to blast them but had no luck so took the grinder and wire wheel to them one night, ordered refurb kit from Bigred and put all back together on Monday.

Tried on one of the stepdowns just to make sure there was no issues with clearance and they are super snug .

Need to get a set of wheels to get it mobile to get the exhaust done so dug out some wolfrace katanas i had burried out the back of the garage from years ago.

Should do the job.

Need to get the fan fitted and the coolant system bled before i leave it away so thats next on the list.

On the look out for a spit now, as soon as the exhaust is fitted ill be stripping the car completely and cleaning up the underside. thankfully very little work to do there. But the spit will make life a lot easier for wire brushing and also painting.

DavebGsi I think is selling his spit

Haven't updated this in a while

Got the engine going and got a full stainless 3" system made for it.

Was having an issue for a while with it being down on power and changed a few bits around, plugs filters and a temp sensor

Didnt seem to sort it and then decided to fit the walbro pump and hey presto we had a different animal on the road.

So the stripdown began so i could paint the underside and get the shell painted.

Engine out on my home made dolly

then rolled it outside and got to cleaning the underside, was a messy job

IMG_1222.jpgIMG_1224.jpg turned out very well, only some minor surface rust which i treated with Jenolite rust convertor, etch primed areas and then 2 coats of Raptor bed liner. wasnt too worried about colour coding the underside so just done it back.

Turned out very well i thought.

That takes me upto this weekend . Have the plastic and masking all stripped and back on the dolly ready to get the shell transported to the painters some stage this week.

Have to tidy up the engine, subframes , rear beam etc and get them painted, so that will keep me busy when the shell is getting painted

you must of been high as a kite under there haha, good work though! That's really clean underneath though!

I had the garage door open and the front of the plastic at the bay lifted up so it was letting a good bit of the fumes out but I kept taking brakes after each bottle of stuff.

Was a pain having to do it at that height too, wish i had of wore a white suit or something cause my clothes got destroyed with the splat from the schutz gun .

Thankfully it was very clean underneath and nothing scary hiding for me.

Cant wait to see the whole thing painted now.

Underside looking really good there, what did you use to clean all the dirt from the underside, just jet wash or a chemical too?

Used undiluted detergent first and let it dwell for 10 minutes or so and then scrubbed it with a brush, washed it off and then sprayed bilt hamber surfex on it and then scrubbed it and washed off . Was a bit of work.
