is the c18xel clutch different to the x20xev clutch??

ive just fitted a new lightenend flywheel for my c18xel, but the flywheel is for a x20xev but i bought this because LMF said it would fit, so ive fitted it but the clutch does not fit, well it lines up and fits onto the splines etc but i need longer bolts, if i fitted it with longer bolts then they would be a big clearance between the flywheel and clutch and i assume this shunt be, so im assuming that if i buy the x20xev clutch it should go straight on with no problems??

Im pretty sure the c18 and x20 clutches are the same.

well if they are the same clutches then there must be an extra part that goes inbetween the flywheel and the clutch, in theory the clutch should be pressed up against the flywheel right?? there shunt be a big gap difference in between them.

Yep, sounds like youve been sold an early flat flywheel and your trying to fit a late pot type clutch !

Get on the phone to LMF and give them some grief

yeah sure is, they have sold me a early flat flywheel, i had to convice them myself, they tried saying that i had bought the wrong new clutch, which i said no too, then asked if the original clutch that was on before was wrong sorted now anyways im sending the flat type back on monday and getting the pot type sent to me this week takes the **** though ive got to leave the car on jacks now with the gearbox in the arch as i cant be bothered to put it all back together again until new flywheel is here
