Looking ahead already (we like to pre plan!) We are looking at what shows we can physically attend in 2019. Now This is the short list so far..............

  • July - VBOA, Market Harbour
  • August - Retro Rides Gathering, Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb
  • September - Rolling Road @ EFI again?
  • October - Trax, Silverstone
  • Spares day? - Is this even going on anymore as I cant find any information on this now
A little about each show -

VBOA
The main show we all love and really push each year. Great weekend together catching up, club bbq, few beers and great laughs. Needs not introductions really.

Retro Rides Gathering
Now we have never done Retro Rides but this year we are joining forces with MIGWEB as they have a stand. This is held at Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb and is anything PRE 1995 (we just get in this as our cars are made before and after 95!) it has a varied amount of cars and makes. The hill climb is good fun to watch and its a cheap day out really. (report to follow after the event!)

Club Rolling Road Day
Held at EFI usually a great turn out and good to catch up with some food after. Nice to see what our cars are still producing after all this time. Also good to get new members involved.

Trax
Held at Silverstone in October (Or Donnington Park in July - we are thinking Silverstone), such a variety of cars & clubs attend. This has been going on for years we had stopped going but if we get enough interest we will look to go again. Track sessions are available. Little pricey but you get a top included with the ticket so it makes it worth it

Spares Day
Not sure this still runs but basically its a buy and sell sale in the midlands to well buy and sell.

So that's our thoughts now we need yours!

Any shows you would like?

What do you think of these suggestions?

We need your input to make sure your all happy!!!!

Many Thanks

I’m up for attending a few shows. been on ere for a few years but only recently back in a mk3

i may even stretch to efi, maybe, it is a serious mission for me though! I may come as it would be interested to get another view on my map from an omex specialist!

I have a spare room just saying.........

A very nice room it is too!

I have a spare room too but it's still a fair trek from mine lol.
Did you stay in it before or after I painted and did it out?

Yeah since the "lodger" as she is called went rooms totally transformed. Re decorated, new bed, furniture the works

There are a couple of more centrally located rolling roads that I've attended with both coming recommended if you wish to consider these for next year instead of EFI.

www.noblemotorservices.co.uk - Chesterfield, easy access from M1. I've used these for mapping and club rr days.

www.dyno-tech.co.uk - Ripley, Derbyshire, easy access from M1 and A38. These offer free drinks and nibbles ;) also Premier Inn, McDs, Sainsburys and decent restaurant all 2 minutes away just around the corner.

I'd be interested in the rr day at efi. About 4 hours from me

Don't Retro Rides also have a weekender event also? Believe it's at goodwood...
Yes but we are looking at the hill climb event instead not to clash with other shows

Thank Harvey, well take them into consideration. I think we need to move the rr day around the country to try and make it fairer for people in different locations.

I've used Noble a few times, they're very close to where I live... :thumb:

I would be down for the rr day at noble if the date doesn’t clash with work or any other shows.

Having used both Noble & DynaTech I'd actually recommend DynaTech for a club day. They are very friendly, have loads of parking & have more time per person. Plus free refreshments if a reasonable number attend.

Both offer 2wd & 4wd rr.
