im down to 9 tanks now lol

Looks well andy

Managed to get around to changing the water on mine today after not cleaning it for a month and found a dead fish too lol been to busy to care recently which is bad on my behalf..... make note to self must clean fish out more regular lol

I need a new 30ltr tank filter any ideas where to get one?

Depends on what your after really does it have to be 30 and not bigger

30 or bigger. Bigger is probably better

I've got a 38 Ltr tank with a elite stingray 10, works really well, quiet enough. Think they're about £20

Mines a jewel 60ltr and it was about 90 quid for everything like powerhead heater etc . Power head is a good filter and many different sponges to go in there.

But remember go for a longer tank than higher as you will get more fish in than a higher tank

Old thread bump time! Spent the whole afternoon sorting my tank out, worst algae takeover I've ever had lol, it was the hair stuff and about 4 inches long in places! Literally took everything out the tank and binned it and started again, including the filter. Got an external filter now, so much better! And a nice piece of bogwood. Been soaking it in boiling water all day to get the staining out.

we need more fish for ours only have 2. filter gave up the other day and it seems it had been fubar for a while so much better with a new one now

Originally the tank/cabinet was built by a company in scotland which had a 72x36x20 in 12mm glass. I wanted more water capacity as it's easier to maintain the water quality. So I reinforced the cabinet with 2x3 box section I ordered a 72x36x36 glass tank which was built on site due to weight. Going up to a 36 inch height ment that a minimum of 15mm thick glass had to be used with double base and triple with bracing. The 15mm glass is triple the price of 12mm, it cost around £1200 just for the tank to be built on site.
I recently had to move house and what a nightmare that was. Thank God for hydraulic lift tables as the glass weighs around 450 kg. The two biggest fish in the tank have gone to customers pond now as they needed more space and the small koi has developed jawlock which i'm not happy about.

Wow what a palaver. Great job on the tank revamp
