What's ****ed you off today?

I made a comment on a post the other week about a company saying "service isn't the best" to which the director of the company PM'd me.

He was asking if I could give feedback on why I had bad service and why I said what I did. Not a problem I said give me a few days I will send it all over on email as I had, had poor service.

I then noticed he had replied to me on the post the below -

Thanks for your comment Kevin Greaves, it’s always disappointing to hear this type of feedback.
I’ve had the team take a look, and out of the four orders you’ve placed with us, three were delivered the next working day. The one that wasn’t was an imported item from Germany, which doesn’t show a live ETA due to how it’s sourced.
We do our best to be transparent—our live stock feed updates every 16 minutes and reflects actual warehouse availability. Some parts ship next day, others in 2–3 days from partner warehouses, and a few are built to order (usually within 7–14 days). Unfortunately others that are produced abroad can have extended leadtimes as well as variables such as transport and customs clearances. There’s can mean that delays are possible in addition to the expected arrival time. However if the team are not communicating that with you then that is a problem. I’ve PM’d you to get some more info on this specific case. So I can look into it further.
Unlike some sites that list everything as “in stock,” we try to give accurate info so you can order with confidence.
If you ever spot a product without a live stock status, feel free to drop us a message, we’re always happy to help check
Cheers,

Hold my beer Mr Director.

7-14 days with possible lead times if from abroad.

My order took 5 months, it was sat in Wellingborough on a shelf the whole time with proof of this and emails where ignored for over a month. It took 3 months to do a simple request.

In the end I went direct to the company making said item who where fantastic and sorted it all. He now has a very lengthy email to read with documented evidence while on holiday as he said he will be picking up emails while he is away.

I am not expecting any response from it but everything he has worded above to me is crap IMO

Evri delivery drivers! Not sure if it's just my area/county but have seen loadsss of Facebook posts about them recently including stealing people's parcels -.-

I’ve found them spot on, yodel however they took 5 weeks to deliver an eBay parcel of batteries for the UPS, on the tracking it said they either had a van fault or couldn’t find the address, then they’d hold the parcel for 48 hours whilst they hold an investigation. In the end the seller had to cancel the parcel. No number to call, only online chat.

Our old Evri driver was an absolute legend but the new one is unfortunately some sort of idiot

Yodel are also completely useless

ours has changed but cant say we've had a bad one yet.

The annual insurance saga. Renewal came in 50p less than last year. I could get it cheaper elsewhere by £30 so asked them to match it. In the end they agreed.

Then had a quote elsewhere and it was £60 cheaper than the renewal and they agreed to match it.

Today I had a quote of £101 cheaper than renewal again all the same, mods etc covered and said well are you going to match it as been with you since 2009..............

Happy to match the price and the excess. We will not be able to reduce further.
Was the response.

Ok I'll take it.

WHY can't they just do this in the first place FFS.

Ended up moving it in the end as I was raging over the saga of it all and the new company are only small but gave me a better deal to start with and then beat it by removing their fee to get my business. It worked and looks like ill be moving the swift to them also!

You know those gussy linkedln posts that absolutely make you want to vomit in your own mouth, sadly today I had to write one in work for our internal bulletin board online.

I just wrote something very brief and then used AI to fluff it out and job was done.

Comically the management level it reached within a few hours and praise I got was decent but I still feel dirty from doing it.

Applied for a role with another bank. Passed all the tests, pre interview stuff and was pencilled in for an interview today.

Started and through competency questions etc for about an hour. We then had a chat and with the role I'd have to go to an office / hub fine no problem - Even the first week in Northampton I could do. The office's are no where near me & so I'd go to a hub so many times a month - They couldn't tell me where they are. They also totally disregarded my application for what I applied for and the salary so when they gave me 10 minutes to prep for the next step spoke to the wife and decided to just walk.

1st time I've ever done that but I was wasting my time. I may hate my job at times but I don't hate it that much to leave to something worse on less money.

Green astra lost all power, red astra has eml on

So tough day at work today lots and lots of incompetency left me drained.

Asked my manager for a chat as planning have totally messed my shifts up and so wanted to get it highlighted so I'm not awol next week.

I'd had conversations over a topic through the day of whispers but manager gave me the heads up as we have a open relationship with each other to be blunt and honest - Another company refresh is coming and there will be no Voluntary redundancies only COMPLUSERY redundancies.

It's the same every year of late new year new lay offs. Ironic they let to many go on VR and pulled everyone back from secondments as its so busy now they are letting more go................... Due to AI and wanting everyone to go digital.

In short told to make sure our stats are squeaky clean to give less chance to be shown the door. I already know I'm at a disadvantage due to term time contract and previous sickness.
