since the last update i have finished the stonechip, i went and bought another two litres of gravitex to correct and go over the other stonechip i tried which gave a different finish so all is well now. 6 litres in all!
picked up 1 litre of glacia white 2k solid, removed the masked up areas and painted over to seal it.

and the fun begins..

thanks leigh, yeah its here mate if you want it you can have it f.o.c, clips are broke and no badge as i need it for my new one.

Doing a bit of prep work now and getting ready for paint before i build up any more of the underneath as i don't want to get any overspray on shiney bits.

I have a question about the spring seats. I just bought myself a new set, because I have a similar problem with mine Estate. Here is a picture:

About the two-pieces that form the spring seats - is it obvious how I need to weld them together, or is it a bit tricky? I personally won't do the job myself, just need to be informed about the work that needs to be done - because not many people did this kind of work where I come from(I'm from Croatia).

Yes mate you can either drill the spots out on the new seat and seperate or as I did weld on as it is, just be ready to weld the chassis leg up aswell as no doubt there will be rot under the seat.

sorry for the late reply a lots gone on since my last update, i nearly gave up when i had no cash or garage to keep the car due to moving out on my own.
i still have the car its now rolling again and is awaiting paint, im aiming to have the car back on the road for next june, ill be running a b234 now as i nicked the engine for my corsa b daily which has done me proud and about 14K miles now trouble free really apart from a gearbox.

I've lost my photobucket account now and tried uploading images on here using the upload button but my files are too large, if anyone has any suggestions or free hosting sites please let me know.
