X20XEV supercharge?

hmm.... something that I've never really thought about is a "CENTRIFUGAL" supercharger. Not your traditional charger but kinda like a turbo but just ran off crank -

For example

seem expensive for what they are though really! and that's just for the unit

To give u an example, my mate just has his Clio 200 charged, standard toffee internals, charger, intercooler is a must, and piggy back. 300bhp. Bigger injectors of course but i dare say u will run standalone and u would buy bigger injectors

u have to run a cooler thou, the charger is far far too hot and it will pink like a mother ****er!

but he isn't running that much boost, flat out 6psi, building to 9psi at limiter (boost is liner as more boost is wasted/piston blow by)

basically, do it! Nigh on 300bhp and will be awesome!

C30 rotrex my mate runs, as i say, standard internals, u HAVE to run a cooler! Will stop the det

with boost ur timing doesnt have to be aggressive, so should be fine for at least 250bhp, more easily.

his charger is the same as the picture above, u don't need a custom manifold thou, just normal pipe work like a turbo

nice one.... this is what I wanted to hear :) I could even use my old tophat and still run my throttle bodies too, the centrifugal type chargers are pretty small in size so could easily get it to mate up.

I'd have throttle bodies AND a supercharger that way ;)

OR

I could ditch the high lift cams and get some mad ones.... solid lifters ect. and adjustable pulleys. Still only hit low 200's though. If I started playing with the supercharger I could have a decent starting point and work on it if I feel the need to push more power out of her.

anybody have suggestions on where I can get a centrifugal type supercharger from that doesn't cost silly amounts? Any decent OE setups I could steal from any other vehicles ect?

Any suggestions or pointing me in the right direction would be great!

Have look on their site, money thou. 800quid i think, don't forget a decent turbo costs that thou!
second hand i reckon, or ring companies like jamsport that do charger conversion, may have a second hand one laying around.

no need to aggressive cams and boost, ur cams will be fine

Perfect! Thanks for the info mate.... this is exactly what I was thinking / needed to hear.

So im thinking the following for this project, keeping the throttle bodies using a tophat to plumb it all in-

1. Get a decent centrifugal charger (non oil fed version)
2. idle rollers, tensioner and belt obviously once I know where I want it all
3. Intercooler (not massive, a decent desecrate one)
4. Pipework bends hoses ect.
5. Boost gauge
6. bleed valve / boost controller
7. MAP sensor (needs setting up and installing with my Omex ECU)
8. GET RE-MAP

Anything I've forgotten or should think about?

Or you could save £££ and just duck tape a leaf blower to the inlet. :thumb:
