ive never thought of insuring it as a second car but that does sound like a really goood idea :) saves the hassle of me using tempcover all the time, will i be able to add my astra onto my insurance which im currently on now, or would i have to start a new policy?.

could just buy yourself a new engine fora couple of hundred quid if your into doing that, gives you time to clean the new engine up before it goes in :) i did same, my timing belt snaped on my c18xel and ended up bending the valves, bought myself the same engine again for £150 and had it fitted...

i have two C18XEL engines, one with the small bore hose from the stat to the header tank and one without the small bore on the stat, at the moment on my current engine in the car i have the stat without the small bore going to the header tank, the car runs sweet like but that wont effect it will...

the only difference in the engines is that of the EGR valve, which reduces the C18xel to 115bhp, you can block the EGR valve on the c18xel by taking it apart and covering it up with a gasket and in theory, your car should gain 10bhp. my car is a c18xel but for some mad reason i have not got a...
