A lil update.......
In the body shop....
New front bumper all cut and fitted
And bolted up test fit...
And cutting holes ready for bonnet pin/aero catchs to be put in....
We've had to put the bonnet pins in side ways as apposed to inline with the car as there was just no other way it was going to happen....
We've also replaced the slam panel with 2 bits of angle iron.... which is removable as and when i need it to be....
Thats about it for now.... ohhh and head back of Monday to put new commetic head gasket on.. as the Zlet one is either blown or i forgot to drill some holes required to do so init.... lol
PS thanks to Dave for the phone call this morning..... both slating mk3 astras lol.... bloody cars!

Same here lol...
The heads now off, and new gasket on.... There is a difference in gaskets and some holes in diff places... but will see whats what when i start it again..
Another lil update.... A new headgasket had to go on.....
Think we've solved the problem now... its been running a while... along with taking it for a quick drive up and down the road... and OMFG it put a nice grin on my face lol....
I now have brakes back.... there are a few knocks and bangs when driving the car... but hopefully will cure them as and when its properly ready to go back on road....
Bonnet pins all done now as well.... i did get some looks when driving down the road with the car looking like it did with brown paper stuck to it lol.....
Thats all for now.. paint within next couple of days... then sort out a CV boot thats come off already lol..... then take for a lil test drive

What was the problem then?
exactly same as what your having mate.... would leave to idle for 30/40 mins it would over heat... now it seems to be ok touch wood? Only took out for like 3mins and give it some... and seemed to be ok? So im hoping its solved the problems... i couldnt test for much longer as i went out as it was in the pics above lol.
he wernt till yesterday, must be a outbreak of it lol.... poxy old ****ty cars!

mine have done about 5-6k and are on 4-5mm so not long lol depends how you drive

Well.... After some sweat blood and tears... Its on the road... not when i wanted it to be... not much of summer left now... but hey... its being used lol... Took it on its first outing the other night to Brands hatch... and it got me there with no issues which amazed me lol..... And its a ****ing animal and its only running 8psi lol
