Not fitting abs its self just the abs ecu so i can run my elec speedo off it..

Think ill hide it under the scuttle as well so less clutter..

Little update from yesterday, carried on wiring omega mirror..

Found reverse light switch wire in main plug in drivers foot well so tapped into it an got it soldered..

Then wired this in quickly..

Plugged mirror in to test it and........ absolutely nothing so checked it had all feeds etc witch it had so i think theres some thing amiss with the mirror so got a bit ****ed off, a load of messing about and time wasted with no results so started on another job.....

Wiring in abs ecu for elec speedo, so ran a wire from engine bay to the big plug on the back of the clocks and tapped into the blue/red wire..

Thats all i had time for so will continue on this next time im down there an ill have to look into getting another omega mirror..

Yesterday i was going to tidy the wiring for the abs ecu so i just had the wires to get it to work the elec speedo. Now all the info on this ive got says you need a 25 pin ecu but when ive looked at mine its a 15 pin ecu so not sure if i can use this now even though it come off a ph2 sport which i thought had the right ones to use..

Dont know if i can use this now or weather i need to get a 25 pin type..

Dont need the abs ecu now, just need the sensor and an amplifier from vaux an jobs done..

Quick update, got these today ..

Also made a start on rubbing back an painting my spare let rocker cover and spark plug cover..

Rocker cover flatted and ready for primmer..

First coat of primmer..

Plug cover looking a bit tatty..

Ready for first coat..

Primmed..

And that how i left them for today..

Also did this the other day, bit of vac pipe tidies it up nicely..

Im not to bothered, ive got one to go on any way as its got damage on the top thats been there a while, but if it was the n/s id of gone mad..

Bit of an update, fitted cruise control today, got all the wires through and wired up..
Couple of pics..

Just need to make a bracket to mount the unit and get a bracket to fit the clutch switch..

Also fittted my fuel rail blanking plate and sard fuel reg and guage..

Once that was all done i threw one of these bad boys in, needs mk3 rail fitting but wanted to see what it would look like..

Cheers mate, not sure if im gonna leave the reg there or not cos the master cyl blocks the view of the guage so didnt bother with the hose clips for now..

thats preety grim mate bet the seats set ya back a fair bit though, i never liked turbo rims but they look good on your car, keep up the good work!

i like the turbo rims, bit different, gsi fanblades are a bit common now.

hmmmm if i ever get another mk3 i might have to invest in some vxr seats! do the backs fit? i do like the veccy gsi ones tho...
