JBL 1000 Sub, any good?

Been offered a JBL 1000 sub, local and cheap. £25 in fact.


anyone shed some light on what these are like, im not looking to spend to much jus want to get something better than standard speakers

i found it sound m8 i got the sub and amp package still got it never had a prob with it,

JBL are a fairly decent make, and for £25 you cant go wrong much!

It depends how hard a life it's had. If it's been thrashed to within an inch of its life, or repeatedly abused with an under or over-powered amp, then its not worth it.

If it's in good nick, then definately go for it - the GTO series JBL subs are seriously underrated, although they claim 1000w they consistently exceed that on bench tests...

well he says i can hear it and test it when i pick it up also its only reli temp so i can have some decent sound until i got a full build

well i got it, heard it in the back of his car sounds ok to me, gonna install it 2moz, then when i get paid uprate my speakers. £20 for a 12inch 1000w sub

yeah we got the same package and its sounds great you shouldnt have any probs with it
