MFD average speed problem

Since fitting my MFD, I've never really taken any notice of the average speed, but i flicked onto it today and reset it while going up the a1. I had cruise control set on 68mph, and after a few miles the average speed was reading almost double - 116mph.

It's wired into the blue/red wire on the back of the speedo, but it must be getting the wrong pulse. Any ideas?

Did it jump up the speed or just on the mfd m8?

Just on the MFD, the speedo is fine.

Apparently theres different pulses for different engines/ phases, read this last two pages..

You can change them with Tech1/2

ive got this problem but noone seems to know the code for a X16SZR so cant do mine yet

Yeah those are for the fuel signal, it's separate from the vehicle speed. Thanks for your help though.

My current program.

Mark you're right, it's set on 8982 pulses per km, I think mine should be 16665.. as it's getting roughly 1.8x too many pulses, hence the almost double average speed.. nice one

It will be either 82 or 96, not sure on which tho.

I don't think you can, I think you need tech 2 as it connects to the TIS database. I might send it to a chap on vxon that does them.

Nope. Anyone with tech2 will have the TIS program
