On a TD04? Don't think so, you see your way past 3k fairly quick in 1st or 2nd depending how you start way past spool up, and then every change up will keep it on boost. Spool up is fairly quick too on those.
If it were a HX40 or a GT30 then maybe.

Good to hear progression Gareth. Trying to get over 300 out of the TD04, it's 19T territory (around 320bhp), TD04 doesn't flow much more than the T25 either. GT3071 would be the turbo for choice too as it has the same flange and is internally gated. Apparently is just as fast as the GT28 but has more to deliver top end. Just my 2p worth if I was going down that route.

Yesterday's job fitting 630cc Dekas and 3bar map sensor.



So out with the Old reds 320cc iirc


And in with the new


3 bar map sensor fitting. Theirs several ways of doin it. I didn't want to cut my old plug off so cut a male end off a old crank sensor that fit the map sensor plug. I could of picky backed my new plug into the original but opted this route instead.

The original Map plug is numbered 1,2,3

1 - Black
2 - blue / Brown
3 - grey

I bleep tested the male end to check which wire matched which pin to correspond with 1,2,3


My new map sensor plug was labelled A,B,C


Plugs match in order
A = 1 Ground
B = 2 Sensor Output
C = 3 +5 volt

So once happy soldered my new plug to the male end to plug into the OE map plug. Confusing I know lol by here's my new plug an play adaptor loom


Plugged in at this point I checked for voltage +5 volt on A and B happy days


New map sensor added all done

Yeah sent my ECU to Nigel today for stage 4 give him my spec see what happens when I get it RR'd. Believe it or not it started all done but overfueled and miss fired lol

At some point I will be me and my friend are going to organise a day as a load of his friends want a RR day. His Gsi is currently on my drive for new Turbo and a list of other things lol I sent his ecu with mine.

Power wise on mine stage 4 is approx 290 Bhp and 390nm torque that's maptun`s figures.

would have to agree for some reason the wheels look too small for it. might be the colour I don't know. turbos do look great on it, I think mk4 turbo wheels look stunning too as on scoobys v6
