Good going that, 7hrs on the floor. Genuine boots are a million times better tho! I went thought loads of pattern boots then a genuine one has lasted ever since

Did you drop the sump and end bearing cap off to change the seal or just pushed home? Fingers crossed this time and hopefully you have better luck than me

I feel your pain lol....
Well, after the trouble with mine melting pistons and re-building mine also has a bad rear crank leak! I'm running it in and hopefully gettiing full boost map in before the really bad weather comes and then ripping the box out over winter, I've another Saab box to go on mine (3rd gear synchromesh knackered on my current box).
Maybe both our cars will make it to VBOA next year!

Saab engines have a complete end plate that houses the rear main seal
Aaah bit easier than a C20 engine then

Wow 2017 the last update. Yikes.. 2018 I seen vboa with this one. Won staff award and the treasures cup trophy. I had a little accident with a kerb which I thought was gonna be the end of it turns out a leg, arm and wheel was needed so rebuilt it... 2019 March the rot really got into it so I had to pull it from the road. I decided the time was to rebuild it into my other shell.. so I've stripped it of everything, my God I'm pleased I have..

Sad but onwards and upwards mate 
Sad indeed, especially when you had the car over 10 years. The new build is looking amazing however.
