good to hear shes running, just a shame bout the gear problem.

just curious, how loud is it with no silencer or cat?? as im planning along the same lines

What spec is your engine cos i notice from the pics a few uprated parts.

C20LET, V-max Evo2 Chip, Large front mount alloy intercooler, Bailey DV26 dump valve, Regal Hiflow ported tophat, Modified throttle flap, 63mm Intercooler to tophat pipe with heat reflecting lagging, Samco 51mm – 63mm boost pipes from turbo outlet to intercooler, C20XE Inlet cam, NGK platinum BCP7EVX sparkplugs, Magnecore KV85 plug leads, Weber adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Jetex 2.5" bore stainless straight through exhaust system with a 6" x 3.5" Oval Tailpipe, Apexi air filter, Enlarged turbo intake pipe, Ported turbo intake elbow, DSOP style custom stainless downpipe, Samco/Roose water pipes, SBD Steel cambelt rollers, Alloy crank pulley, Lightweight billet steel flywheel, 100 Amp alternator, Mocal 16 row oil cooler, 1.7 TD Radiator, Slimline fan, Manual boost controller set at 1 bar.

Its not very loud at all as the turbo itself acts as a silencer and with the back box its got a nice note to it, a nice burble but no boomy :cool:

Got the box off today and pretty certain Ive found the problem with the clutch.

The spring in the pressure plate is completely different from the standard one, but the actual plate is the same. So it would seem that whoever put the pressure plate together has fitted a spring from something else. :rolleyes:

The fingers of the spring have actually been hitting up against the friction plate center thus not allowing the spring to fully release the pressure on the friction plate.

I wont get the new clutch till tuesday now so just gonna have to wait :(

it's going be cracking bud pitty about the fingers will all be sorted soon looks great, love it!!!!.
 
My new LUK clutch kit turned up today wasnt expecting it till tomorow so I came back after work to get it fitted.

Pleased to say I now have 6 forward gears, 1 reverse and a bar of boost so Tom is very happy indeed :lol:

LOL havent you sorted yours out yet ? Ive got a set of poly bushes for the wishbones now so will measure the brackets when I get round to fitting them.

sweet mate pleased for you should have painted up the sub frame wile it was off tho for a good cleaned look lol

Could of done but didnt have time for any painting as I needed the car off the ramp.

tom how big did you drill the holes in the lower crossmember for the radiator to sit in?

25mm with a hole saw, then popped out the existing rubbers and put them in the new holes, job done ;)
