Thats right Jay, the pipe on the side of the turbo is for the standard recirc valve inside the turbo.
Radd the radiator is from a 1.7 Turbo diesel mk3 astra with the GM engine, not the izuzu

Lots more done, as you can tell Im not rushing to get this done but you dont realise where the time goes when your doing a job that you think wont take that long !
Things like making brackets for the exhaust, modding the downpipe to clear the subframe running pipework, lining the gears up etc.
Engine in:
Radiator and fan fitted:
Exhaust done, this took alot longer than I thought and had to do some creative cutting and welding on the downpipe, but got there in the end !
Then set to fitting the intercooler and boost pipes:
More tomorow

A strange request to Tom you know the battery tray, which side does your battery tray clamp go as mine didnt come with one so ive got one to fit

Bumper chopped to fit intercooler:
Didnt have to take off that much to be honest, approx 1 inch around the opening and the lower part of the bumper bar. All fits nice and snug will plenty of clearance.
Front end is back together, bumper, grill headlights and indicators all on.
Its on its wheels now and fired the engine up, sounds sweet and runs fine.
Then came to check the gears and found that it will go into every gear with the engine off, but wont with the engine running !!
Feels like the clutch is not fully releasing for some reason, tried adjusting the cable but it made no difference so gonna have to take the box back off to see whats up.
So Tom aint too happy tonight and is now off to find some alcohol

As said above shame about the gear selection but at least it fired up and is running sweet.
