Ronnie's PROJECT RWD :D - mk3 astra gsi turbo rear wheel drive ;)

Amazing, I think you are going the right way with it for what it's worth. Could do with the sunroof being replaced with a standard roof in my MK3 to make it a bit lighter, will need to get the dreaded arches done first tho!

obviously hasn't read any of the thread lol

obviously you havent read his post

RC Engineering, now with PAD!

oh yes, had to get alfie to teach me how to use it

How in hell are you going to get that home? I'm assuming it doesn't just unbolt?

theres somebody up the road from me with one of those for a land rover, noticed it as I walked past looking twice as I thought i'd gone mad seeing a car rotated on its side. Be good for classic shell restorations

Thats cool, now when you hate it an get fed up you can set a fire underneath and cook it right the way through on the spit :)

Can i borrow it?

Shweet.

it came with end brackets for a mk2 escort and a lotus sunbeam, but suprisingly not mk3 astra so had to get the fabrication hat on :) had a spare few hours so started on the front ones.

one of the ones that came with it wasnt too bad a fit for a base

i removed what was left of the crossmenmber as i wasnt using it anyway so i could put some chassis brackets in too.

014-4.jpg

had a measure up and drilled out the holes to astra bumper bar width

015-5.jpg

it took ages, with the plate and the box its about 12mm thick there lmao

016-4.jpg

now usually people just do it to the bumper points, but i wasnt too happy about that so i decided to make some chassis bars too

017-5.jpg

drilled holes all the way through the bar in the right places

023-4.jpg

took it back out and welded nuts on the back of those holes

and bolted all the way through
