Tapping like hell c14nz

If it's popping through the inlet the timing could be 180 degree's out.

I think :P

I didnt think it would be able to do that? Wouldn't I then catch the valves?
I changed the CTS, still a bitch to start :(

No because it would just open the inlet at the time the exhaust is meant to I believe.

You're right it shouldn't be possible thinking about it. Was the woodruff key ok?

it is possible mate. most of the time they dont run when you put them 180 degrees out but you got the odd ones (like Dj) that can make it run like that lol

Edit: if im thinking right, its 1 turn of the crank = 2 turns of the cam is it not?

Should I spin the cam or the crank 360 when I take it apart tomoro?

Other way round, 2 turns of crank for one turn of cam. It's impossible to get it 180 out tho really, as long as the timing marks are lined up top and bottom

That's what I thought, because the cam pulley has a locating lug. Hence asking if the woodruff was ok on the bottom pulley :)

Iv not had the bottom pully off to look at the key way, the car I got the head off was running fine till the head was taken off, the timeing marks all lineup  I'm confused now

Correct me of I'm wrong (most likely)
I should have each end piston to the top befor timing up (I didnt check :( ) but the middie ones would be up if I spun the crank right round again to tdc?

Could I then take the top back 180 back to tdc?
