the thing is, this bodyshop did work on my rx8. they were very good, and quick.

the guys had short staff of recent which is why mine took a back seat.

but enough is enough lol

i am annoyed, but still loking forward to it going to this new bodyshop.

and the fact they were restoring an LC, and afew other performance cars puts my mind at rest.

GSi has now been delivered to the new bodyshop.
Im awaiting for the rear arches, and fuel filler panels to be delivered directly to me tomorrow. which will allow me to pass them onto the bodyshop to start the work.

maybe i'll get some pictures up tomorrow if i can

well im going to go and deliver the parts tomo, so i'll get some pics up of the shoddy/bodged work the other bodyshop were going to do to her!
and to think, they actualy told me they were going to weld in repair panels

heres the first real update guys

had the repair panels delivered to me today, so on my lunch break dropped them off at the bodyshop. i dont feel on edge this time round as im almost certain they'll do a perfect job for me.
we agreed that;

the front and rear bumpers will be painted
drivers side door mirror cover painted
front wings painted
and the whole of both sides of the car painted

heres the sorry state the car is in right now, all work done by the previous bosyshop
NOTE: the use of sheet metal to try and reshape the arches without using repair panels like i thought he would. absolutley shocking stuff

That is absolutly shocking mate should of been new panels anyway! At least like you said you wont be on edge when its there

seen their work and its first class. they were working on a new focus st at the time i went in, and its first class

can't believe the pics above! there shocking! How much are you looking at to get the new arch repair panels ect. fitted? did you end up oweing the other garage anything for the "work" they did on your car?

no didnt pay the other garage anything.

i had to buy the panels, which cost me £80 inc delivery (2 rear arches, 1 petrol filler panel, and order another petrol filler panel by mistake too)

its going to cost £££ for the work

thats to paint front and rear bumpers,
do the repair work,
paint door mirrors
and paint both sides of the car.

the only panels that will not be painted on the whole car are the grille, bonnet, roof, and tailgate

it was only going to be £££ as thats what the first garage quoted me. and the new bodyshop agreed to price match if i moved my car to them to do the work.
but then we spoke and agreed afew more things for him to do

their work is of a really high quality, i'll try and get some pics of the lotus carlton theyve got in next time i go in

another update, phone pics to follow shortly.

car went in this morning to get the work started. got a phone call saying that the inner arches and other smaller panels were rusted too and they needed doing. had to give them the go ahead as price has now gone up.

gutted to be honest, as its costing me more than i had budgeted for, but hey ho. its only getting done once

still im glad theyve told me it needs doing, than them not bothering.
