As you all probably guessed i wouldn't stay away from mk3's for long lol so this is my introduction to my new Astra which has a pretty interesting story behind it, Are we all sitting comfortably?
Good then I'll begin.....
Hello......Old friend
This car first came into my life as a mates car back in 2006 it when it was just a bog standard 2.0 sport on a P plate with just under a 100k on it and generally in pretty good condition seen here:
It then got a pretty big make over by me and my mate so i have always had a big spot in my heart for this car as it felt like i owned it to!! We did all the work ourselves with ph2 gsi parts and a ph1 bonnet as well as other bits and pieces such as front and rear strut braces
Before lastly getting chrome angel eyes and a FK grill and then being resprayed in flame red and the wheels done in ford ash black.
The result was imo very good and tasteful (this was when neons,gross bodykits,stickers were in fashion)
This is sadly where things start turning bad....
My mate then decided that he was bored of it and sold it for £2000 and regretted it almost straight away (like everybody always does) and tried to buy it back but the guy wouldn't have any of it So that was it! Gone forever!
Until....
I was browsing eBay looking at different Astra prices ect and as i clicked on the next page THERE SHE WAS!? I couldn't believe it, over 4 years later and there it was! It was like a scene from herbie when they find him again lol
Sadly tho 4 years of stupid chavvy owners and abuse had seemed to of taken its toll on poor old DOX What had they done to it!!!

So i messaged and asked what his buy it now price was to which he replied "£1200 mate" LMFAO!!! I don't think so! So i went and viewed it after alot of haggling (he threw on a gsi bumper he had) and generally just making sure that he knew that he had basically ruined a nice car, i told him he could have £400 cash for it and keep his crap alloys that were half on it and he accepted!
She's all mine!
Towed it back to my mates work....
****ing lol at the bodykit! Gets funnier every time i look at it!
Get this **** off my car! lol
Thats better! It was then burnt! (no really, they had fire in the field out the back and i chucked it on there!
) Then checked it all over and it generally seems quite good it has new wish bones,track rods,drop links ect on it
Needless to say i have BIG plans for this car because as well as being a much better car and base to start with than my old one i still have ALOT of stuff that i bought for my 8v and never used as well as more new stuff i have bought that i will now fit to this
