local tunnels!

There is a good reason trust me on this!

But I want to learn of a few good long tunnels in the south central area, around the southampton/portsmouth are. Proper tunnels, that you can get some good noise in! Preferably not in residential areas too!

Now, as that's got you scratching your head I'd better tell you why! The next meet we have I want to end it by tunneling, or in plain english driving through tunnels and making lots of loud noises! Video it all and put it on youtube! Its just for poops and giggles but I'm hoping it may get a few of you more interested in the region and wanting to show off more than the looks of your cars.

So where are the good tunnels?

Used to have epic fun in my dad's old TVR doing this, 4.5 v8 with straight through pipes made some serious noise

Well fingers crossed I should have a few different notes already, got my 1600 that should be having a straight through put on it, an XEV with a stainless straight through on it, maybe a zlet and might see if I can't get sebs redtop involved too!

good idea nath, there is rumoured to be an excellent tunnel near me, but im yet to locate it, will let you know if i do though!

we got some good tunnels that go through the centre of birmingham and the local racing club do tunnel runs through there all the time and sounds incredible

I've been through them. Just coming up to the city centre? I was there for a week doing some training and used to love those tunnels.

This one is'nt actually too bad as it has the roundabout at the end of it and lay bys to park in outside fords?

Also a good place as its a long one then a small gap and then short one? Again a roundabout at the end to turn round and a path with railings to stand behind to film/watch?

main eastleigh roundabout by the airport has a sweet tunnel under the mtrway then a nice straight slip way back onto the mtrway towards fareham with a huge wall next to it which makes a mental raw!!! also a bit of a bump at the start of the slip way which makes you feel like a rally car driver holding on for dear life when you give it some beans!!! i would only do this late at night as this is a busy busy roundabout..

There is a couple in eastleigh, one on leigh road and another near the ford factory... Both 30 limit though so its a first gear sprint

eastleigh multi storey is the nuts for noise
