No, first go at it. Only doing bits that won't be seen. Quite enjoyed shaping the patches etc.
One of my old blue sri mk4's had to give up a large peice of its door for the metal!

The Nova is definitely a piece of social history. When I was at college in '94ish, the Nova 1.3SR was KING of the student car park. They seemed like a 'proper' car to me, particularly after getting out of a Mini or the misery of a Mk1 Fiesta ;)

I would TOTALLY MOLEST a 1.6GTE nowadays- if I could find one that didn't cost more than 1x kidney :lol:

They were still king of the car park when I went to college. I used to love burning all the financed corsa c boys on the way to McDonald's! Gsi's and gte's are going for 5k now in mint condition. Even mint 1.2 Base models are selling for 2k plus nowadays

Didnt think of that. It does look the same colour as vxr calipers.
It was a tough choice between yellow and blue. always used to have them blue on the nova when I had it on the road so thought I'd have them blue again and do the mk3 in yellow.
. Will have a blue stripe on the bumpers eventually to match and blue drums/ rear beam

Built up the offside tonight and painted up the caliper20170126_172910.jpg

While the paint was out, I thought I was 17 all over again and did the inlet manifold too20170126_170928.jpgthe carb adapter plate is on and the inlet has been cut and filed down to increase the flow a bit. Weber carb has been cleaned out ready to go on.
Also left the sump to soak in petrol and cleaned up the baffle plate and oil pick up pipe so hopefully get that back on over the weekend.
 
Picked these up tonight. Not keen on the dpm centrecaps to be honest so I think I'll spray them in white too.

Yeah I've got the artic and original GLS ones. Artics are pretty beat up but seeing them in white has kind of made me want to get them repaired, look super smart!!
