managed to get hold of a power lead to go to the battery in the boot today, out of a new shape beemer 520d

wont be getting no voltage drop down this bad boy

my work is the bmw workshop in the area, everytime an airbag goes off in a new beemer they replace this lead as it blows a built in fuse in the end! came out of a 56 plate 520d i think! dont worry me as i dont need the fuse in the end

got me new bottom arms today, nice shiny gm seems a shame to just cut the bushes out straight away to change the polly bushes over lol

it had patten arms put on it before i got it and it ripped out the bottom ball joints already, and they do look a bit flimsey, the gm ones are ment to be 65quid plus vat per side, but i meanaged to get them both for 90quid all in still sounds alot for bottom arms but better than 150quid ish, plus iis seems like id be replaceing them every 12months, 18s, lowered and 300+bhp, not a good combo for bottom ball joints lol

finished the short shift now, just needs a paint up

and got the mk2 astra gte master cylinder through aswell, as ive ditched the abs started sanding it down for painting!

started makein the engine mounts stiffer by filling them up with bonding today, got one done, will do the rest tomorrow!

been told with the mounts you have to use window bond sealer... something to do with whats in it...

tigerseal eats the rubber? im prob talking ****, but read it on migweb somewhere...

finished sanding down the servo

and painted all that up

and the master cylinder and resivior were rather mucky too so gave them a clean up

and gave the bits i did the other day another coat of silver too

and painted the 'new' shortshift up too

put the bits together now,

heres the mk2 gte non abs brake servo/resivior/master cylinder all back together

and heres the linkage, gotta take it apart again though, anyone see why????

you've got the short shift the wrong way round? with it like that you'l have to move the stick even further to change gear!
