Very useful info. I now know why the headlight I recently accuired from the scrappie wasn't a perfect fit. I best go back and get the other light and grill to match.:redface:
 
got another one the speedo units in the ph1 clocks wont fit into a ph2 set of clocks however with a bit of wiring you can get the ph2 speedo unit into ph1 clocks

Blade type, not like the 'mini-gsi' type spoiler.

upto late 93 mk3 had this style side indicator on the wing

I've also noticed differences in the amount of screw holes on the scuttle panel. My K reg has three lugs, my J reg has two???
 
Bonnet hinges are different too, i think if you try fit a phase 1 bonnet on a phase 2 a couple of holes have to be drilled?
 
on the later ph2's you do
 
the rear lights are difrent 2 the ph2 had slightly tinted rear lights than the ph1.
 
I see there's not a bit about back bumper's iv seen 2 style's really early one's have like a lip and a bit rounded but later one's are more square if you get what I mean, if I can il get pic's

Yep! The number plate lights are also different aswell
 
Yeah one's square and one's oval,
 
so what do we think? phase2; new and improved or phase1 with face lift and botox?
