Testimony to the strength of these engines.

Glad you've sorted it... was looking forward to the re-match when my new build is done! :)
 
Update:

Busy day today, adjusted the rear brakes, repaired the back box, jet washed the rear arches and behind the rear bumper, undersealed the rear arches, backend and rear chassis legs right up the the rear of the sills, and cleaned the insides of the rear wheels:













After id refitted the rear wheels i moved onto the front end. Wheels off, grille and bumper off, **** shields out, then re-fitted the cat ( mot time very soon ) then jet washed under the front arches, sub frame, engine and gearbox, found a slight water leak (turbo return is weaping), found a leak on the gearbox (drain plug is weaping) and gave the insides of the front wheels a good clean.
Was going to have another day on it tomorrow but starting back at motor hog again tomorrow so will try get the front arches under sealed up and hopefully the front wheels back on so i can drop it back down onto all 4 wheels:

rear arches etc you just brushed waxoil underseal on?

Meh. Mines quick enough for me to enjoy it, doesn't bother me as to who's dad is bigger than who's and who's car is quicker.
 
Update:

Gave the front arch's a good under seal when i got home from work on tuesday:





Left them to dry for a day and put the **** shields, bumper and wheels back on weds night after work, also topped my gear box oil up, fitted another jubilee to my turbo water feed pipe that was weaping, found my dizzy is leaking internally and finally took it for a run. Not feeling it with the cat in at all, thats coming straight back out after the test. :lol:. Need to find my spare dizzy so i can swap that over next..
 
Update:

Not updated for a while due to varius reasons so i'll bring it up to date.

Old girl went in for mot at the end of may and went straight through with no issues at all, even got praise from the tester about it.



Did some pre-pvs 2016 cleaning in the bay:











Had to refit the gear knob as it came off while driving:





And had to fix an oil leak from the sandwidch plate:



Got the vectra b ph2 gsi rims fitted with 205-40-17's:













I didn't make it to pvs due to various issues with the astra, turbos on its way out, smoking, leaking oil, lack of boost, eml coming on so decided not to risk it as the astra is my daily at the mo and i need it for work.
Now got suspension issues due to shitty roads and hitting a massive bump at mackies hull at the weekend, feels like the damper is goosed and the top mount now has a small rip in it. Also had afm and lamdba codes come up this morning when it had a moment, just needs me to last another week untill i can get this 330d m-sport and get it taxed.

Got massive plans for it once its off the road, engine, box, suspension, body work, engine bay are all getting attention, might be quite a while untill its done but it wont be back on the road untill im happy with it..
