Right about time i updated this seeing as its over a year since i last posted.....

Astra's been off the road for about a year now due to a few things, got an issue with the o/s/f suspension after hitting a crater in Hull, seals have gone in the turbo after fitting a new actuator, found a few hair line splits in the engine bay where the inner wings meet the chassis legs, engine's leaking oil and oil pump is on its way out, g/box is leaking oil... the list goes on and coupled to the fact i wanted to change a fair few things i took her off the road and decided to do a full fresh rebuild and do everything thats needs doing...

So ive started on the engine bay and wiring.. Im going for a smooth bay and hidden wiring so stripped a load of stuff out the bay and removed the battery tray and some bkts that are now not needed and started to remove sealer..
Soon got to the point where i need to drop the lump before i can carry on so threw some primer on a few areas and moved on..

Started on the wiring next so pulled it all back through into the car as i want to relocate where it comes into the bay as to not see any wiring at all where possible. Its now all going to come through under the scuttle, go through the inner wings near the bonnet hinges, down the out side of the inner wings and then come through into the engine bay where required..
Ive also ran a live into the bay under the scuttle that will run run to the boot where the battery is going to be relocated.

All the wiring will eventually be wrapped in tesa tape..

Ive also had the dash out to hard wire all the extra electrics ive added over the years as under the dash was like spagetti junction and annoyed me..


Just needs wrapping with tesa tape and then plugs adding to the extra wiring where they meet at the original loom plugs on the n/s, then i can drill the new hole under the scuttle and throw the dash and loom back in..

Also made myself a new start/charge loom so i can relocate it out the way and add extra wires into it..
